This is Emma in her 3 year old summer, the last post where she is so dark was in winter, not roaning out to heavy yet, and her tail has grown 4 inches LOL as big as she was then she was still pretty slow maturing, she now has a nice set of withers. She looks like a cow pony LOL LOL to bad I have to convince HER of that LOL LOL I was going to start riding her in this year, and had started all the ground work and saddling, then in Sept. I got hit head on by a drunk driver and obviously her training got postponed for a year, it didnt hurt her though, she matured mentally as well as physically.
Here is Sara hosing the mud of off her legs, I love that butt, Yes that is a chain on her nose, she was so exuberant and would take off and drag you if you werent prepared, that all changed when I introduced her to Parelli, we have good ground manners now!! and the rope halter helps a lot, she doesnt do it anymore, she would run over you, the carrot stick solved that, she ran into it a few times LOL this looks like her 4 year old spring, as her tail is a lot longer! She still hasnt popped those withers yet. She never has been as dark as she was that 2 yr old winter.

I just love this, and had to share......
As I grow older...
I've learned that you can't make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in.
I've learned that one good turn gets most of the blankets.
I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just asshats.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.
I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think.
I've learned that depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
I've learned that it's not what you wear; it's how you take it off.
I've learned that you can keep vomiting long after you think you're finished.
I've learned to not sweat the petty things and not pet the sweaty things.
I've learned age is a very high price to pay for maturity.
I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.
I've learned that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
I've learned that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it.
I've learned that there is a fine line between genius and insanity.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away. And the real pains in the ass are permanent.
