It is with great sorrow that I post this. My sister in-law has lost her 4 year old Friesian stud. Do to unknown reasons, somehow, he broke his shoulder. The decision was made to put him down.
This come to her at a very bad time. Recently she was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and polymyalgia. She cant even saddle a horse by herself right now. Amid trying to figure out her health, Aarmoni has been there she has been training him, teaching him to lie down and he has been a great horse. He has been a dream for her, sadly gone now. My horse friends will know the deep sorrow I feel for her. The loss of dreams, companion, friend, and goals.
These pictures I took of him last Summer.
This was her short and I am sure, very painful email this morning.
"Today I lost my friend
At the young age of 4 years old my friend and my buddy
Aarmoni was laid to rest. He had broken his left shoulder and how it happened
will never be known he had only been in the arena and his stall and after many
x-rays and phone calls to equine surgeons and spiciest the final diagnosis was
to be put down."
Tears I shed for her.
Oh how sad...please give her a hug from me and my condolences.
ReplyDeleteAarmoni sounded like such a special horse...he was so special that God had a very special job for him to do elsewhere...may your sister in-law find comfort in knowing that he is at peace~
I am so sorry to read this. Losing a 'friend' like this is never easy. Even if they live to an extremely old age it is not easy. Please send her my sympathy.
ReplyDeleteTers here too, I know how much a good horse can help heal us when we are in pain. Please send her my love from another in the industry who has felt this pain and wishes her peace
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry for your loss - it is never easy to lose an equine friend, but losing such a fine young horse is especially hard. Sending good wishes and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. He was beautiful. My thoughts go out to your sister during this difficult time!!
ReplyDeleteSo so sorry for her loss.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for her loss, what a beautiful animal. Sometimes we never know why or how a horse gets injured, even beyond our help. I am facing that now with my mare who has some kind of stomach/gut issue which I can't help her with. It's hard to lose a dream. Sending warm thoughts her way!
ReplyDeleteSad for her. He sure was gorgeous.

Thank you everyone.
ReplyDeleteShe called me to find out if I had gotten her email, this morning. She couldnt hardly hold it together. She wanted no visitors, just to be left alone. I feel so bad for her. I wish there was something I could do. I just keep letting her know I am here and available to help if needed.
