We have a new kid!!!

Al beit he is only about as big as Dublins head! They are getting along really well, Dublin gets along with anyone though, he is a rockstar!! LOL LOL I wanted another pet before he goes back to Guide Dogs in Oct. Now I have another project in this little guy!

Meghan found us a Chaweenie!! We found him on Craigslist, for a rehoming fee. He is only 6 mo. old.
We havnt came up with a name yet, his first owners called him little bit, and the folks we got him from called him Snickers. Hmm. The last family has 5 little girls and they loved him, but they only had him for 3 weeks, and with everyone going back to school, and work, they didnt think it fair to leave him home alone. So they posted an ad on Craigslist last night and Meghan texted them, and called them this morning, and we have a new pet addition to our family! I will be taking him to our Guide dogs meeting tonight with Dublin, we will see if I get in trouble LOL I shouldnt. I dont want to leave him home alone yet, after just picking him up today. He seems sweet so far, he let me clip his front nails, I will have to have some help to do the back LOL, he is to little to hold on to! I would guess he is only 7-8 lbs! I have been wanting a silver dapple Dachshund! and thats the color he is!!! I would have liked a female, but when the right one comes along, you dont worry about gender so much. He does still need to be fixed, will have that done in the next couple weeks..

This last one is a little blurry, but I will have more pics soon! He is a real cutie and has those airplane Chihuahua ears!! LOL Now to come up with a name......

  2. My cowboy says to tell you " if you're lookin' for a name, Fred comes to mind, male or female, I'd call him Fred." Aaah cowboys! I think it's a cool looking dog. You could have a name your dog contest and get lots of suggestions like I did. Have fun with your new boy : )

I think I am starting to settle on Max.

He is doing good!Slept with me in bed last night, on top of the covers LOL.
He growled and barked at Hubby when he got home from swing shift last night LOL
and He did the same to Meghan when she got home at 10, at least he will be and alarm!

  6. Aha! Silver dapple Chiweenie!
    Love it!
    He's a keeper for sure.

I prefer females, too because males tend to mark everything, but hopefully once he's neutered he'll refrain from doing that. :)

You know how much I adore my own chiweenie. She was already 2 yrs old when we adopted her. I wish she was younger sometimes, because I've already lost 2 years olf her life, and her first two years were so horrible living in a Puppy Mill popping out puppies over and over again. Poor Dobbie.
I hope she lives a very long time because it will break my heart when she passes on. I love her so much and she is such a wonderful companion.....just like your Max will be with you.

    Congrats!
