Washington State Horse Expo, post 2

After the Freisians, Craig Cameron had a seminar he did, I remember it was about a lot of circling exercises! All those orange uprights are set in pairs and gates, you keep circling in and out of a gate. 

 He is really good at engaging the crowd, and very funny.

Next, is Cowboy Mounted Shooting!! They use 45 caliber revolvers, loaded with blanks, which are powder only in the shell. They are very loud! You can see the clouds of gun smoke! They shoot at a full run!! and use two revolvers.

 Setting up baloons.

 There were yellow and purple balloons, the announcer explained that a contestant has to shoot the light colored balloons first, then the dark ones.

I did manage to take short enough videos that will upload!!!

It was a lot of fun to watch. They do put ear plugs in the horses ears. It looks like a lot of fun, I dont think my mare would do it though! It takes a lot of training, and they have to like to run! LOL the course is timed for speed, and each missed balloon is a 10 sec penalty.
