The Lion is hanging on with claws!!!

Snow again! March came in like a lion and is leaving like a lion too!!
Dublin is practicing being a Pointer.

Even 2 inches of snow is deep for Max! (I dont think he is peeing here! LOL LOL, but he is missing a leg!!)
 Heavy wet sloppy snow.
Lots of water in the pasture again.
 Snow on the hot tub.
If it ever warms up I am going to paint these chairs grey. A nice coat of white will have to do for now!
Hello Emma, "Hi Mom! Whats up?"
Lick, chew....                                 (1 1/2 inch fence tape, does not like snow!)
"Why are you not feeding me?"
"Really you are just standing there?"
 "Please? I is hungary!"
OK Emma I will feed you girls!
You old mares are waiting, not so patiently!
I dream of dry ground and warmer days! Not hot, but 75-80 is perfect!! On the news this morning they said we are one snow fall away from the all time number of snow falls in March!
Horse Expo in Albany Oregon this weekend!!! This is the big one! Should be fun!!

More snow, (sigh) and a visitor.

Snow again, is Spring ever going to get here!!! This is the view from Emmas stall.

At least it was only a dusting.
Yesterday Hubby called me downstairs and said look....
I was intrigued so I grabbed my camera and ran outside. See it?
 Right there in the middle.
We had a Bald Eagle visit the neighborhood!! I know they are more common in some areas, but still not so much around here! He flew down the river. The Little Washougal River is just below him.
This was as close as I could get to it.

And all I could catch as he flew over me!! LOL

And just because they are cute! LOL The boys, both holding Dad down!!!

Winters fighting....In like a lion!!!!

Second snow dusting in March. Woke up to another wet wet wet two inches.

 Interesting texture on the roof.
Hopefully these are the last steps in snow I need to take this season!!!

And Mr. Dublin, his favorite spot is on Dads lap. He has the glowingest eyes! especially at night (yeah I made up a work LOL)
He loves his ducky!

Dublin holding Dad down so he wont go anywhere! He thinks he is a Lapradore! LOL

Some more painting projects completed!

These are 12" Memo clips.
These sleighs are also about 12" long.
Countdown to Christmas, it is about 8" in diameter.
The snowmen turned out cute. I am struggling with what to put on the snowflakes that I really like.
 6" Memo clips.

The newest pattern I purchased for nutcrackers. The backs are all my own design, as the original patterns have nothing on the backs.

 The 12" nutcracker.
 Another 6" nutcracker.
I am starting to get quite and inventory! Its fun to be back painting again. More to come!!

The birds are trying to usher in Spring!

Like this guy, making a lot of noise , getting an asnswer from across the river though.

Can you tell what kind of bird he is??
A Pileated Woodpecker! On top of the power pole in our driveway.
They are a large bird! You can barely see him when I zoom out though, that and he is on the other side of the pole.
Every time he would drum, and stop, I would hear a call from the other side of the river. The pole must be a good spot to make sound.
I am ready for Spring too!!

Pony nap time.

Nap time! The old mares standing guard. A few minutes after I took this pic she was laying flat out, LOL.
Snow is gone, it is supposed to be almost 60F Sunday! A day to catch all the mares, wash the mud off of them and check them all out. I need a new set of clipper blades, last time I tried to trim bridle paths, they wouldnt cut. I need to trim leg hair and chins and bridle paths! Maybe they will look less like woolly mammoths! LOL

This is my new ring Hubby bought me on one of our outings lately! Three horses for my three! (and my poor wrinkly dry hands! LOL)

And for fun!! go listen to "When you find a horse in you bubblebath" by Brent Holmes, the song is the inspiration for my blog title!! It will make you laugh! "driving all the rubber duckies insane" LOL LOL

Snow again! March 1st

Well we had about two inches of snow Wednesday morning. Pretty, but I am so ready for Spring!!!
( Well Lytha, its still grey here too!!! LOL But there are some Fir trees!!)

Had a little excitement here in the neighborhood this last week. A woman who lives across the street from us, drowned in the Little Washougal river. Totally weird this time of year. Ruled an accidental drowning.
Ponies are still eating and pooping, and I am still cleaning up after them and feeding them!! LOL
They got their shots on Tuesday. Three ways for Easy and Mickey, a 5 way for Emma. The old mares probably wont leave the property, so I figured enceph/flu/tetnus was enough for them. Emma got Rhino with hers.
It has been cold the last few days too, 39F when I get up in the AM, I am wearing extra layers(my nylon sweat pants!) to the barn, I know I am a wimp! I hate being cold! Its only been low to mid 40's during the day. Damp too.
My barn is on the other side of that well shed in the center. The girls were staying inside.
I really am getting the itch to RIDE!!! Soon I hope! Or I am going to have to haul to an arena!!!

Video from the Clark County Horse Expo 2012

Here are some of the videos from the Horse expo. This first one is Cowboy Dressage. Different, you cant see them very well, they were in western show saddles, dress in formal riding attire.

These next two videos are of the vaulting team. They were pretty cool to watch!!!

The one long video I took wouldnt upload. This vaulting team was amazing!!!

A couple more vids, Steve Rother, pole dancing coming....
