More squirrel!

Hubby decided to feed Melvin peanuts. He was very grateful!!

I opened the back door to get better pictures, he was wiggling his back legs and rear, like he was going to run! LOL When I didnt go out, he grabbed another peanut. He sure has long toes!

Later I heard the container fall, I guess when it was empty, he threw it! LOL

Squirrel!!

This silly squirrel has been hanging around this year. I am finding empty nutshells all over. We have no nut trees! Hubby and I were talking in the kitchen, before he went to work, and I look out the window and see this little guy/gal!!! LOL Hubby says " I dont believe how long their toes are!"
He went all along the railing, down and up the other side here, with a goal in mind.
A couple weeks ago Hubby came home from working swing shift, and the squirrel was up on the BBQ. That time it was open, and a small deep fryer was sitting there. He said the squirrel had the lid lifted on the pot and was checking things out! LOL
This smoke stack must look like a lid!
 Silly silly squirrel!

Hubby has named him Melvin. LOL

New projects, ride #2 on Emma

Hubby has been after me to paint something other than Christmas! So here are a couple new items that I painted.
This first one is going to stay on our wall. I changed the name at the top to ours. This is on a vintage bread board that I found in Grammys house.
This one turned out cute too! I love it. It is about 14x7. It will be for sale if anyone is interested.

Rode Emma yesterday, had a decent ride. I made up the "garbage box" from the Trail Trial last year. She could care less! Made a box out of my poles and split it in half with another, then put water bottles, laundry detergent bottles and the plastic dog food sack that I carried it all out in, on one side.  LOL Silly girl. We will see what she does during the ride. I did put a plastic sack on my carrot stick for the first time. She was fine with that, all over her. I lounged her to the left, but when I reversed her, she freaked out! LOL So we stopped and had the bag all over her again, then she was fine. What you do on one side, you have to do on the other. I did ground work first then rode.
We did have a bit of an argument, at the end of the hour that I rode, she refused to trot for me. She can be a bit defiant at times! LOL In the end, I won, and all is good. She also "forgot" how to sidepass to the  left. I think she was just in a mood yesterday! LOL  She is a funny horse to ride. If my balance is not just right, she will not pick up a canter. She has to be asked the right way or she just doesnt do something, gets pissy and wrings her tail and her head. She is a challenge, not boring for me at all. I am always having to think ahead of her and anticipate what she may or may not do! LOL But all in all she is quiet, loves the trails, easy to catch, a bit of a cow on ground handling, though LOL. Doing Parelli horsonality she is a left brain extrovert/introvert, everything she does falls evenly on the left side of that chart! LOL Extroverts are supposed to be the most challenging to work with!
Two rides down, 22 days until the Trail Trial!! I am sore today, have to ride to make that better! I really need my Cashel tush cushion, for my saddle!

Not to much going on....

Havnt been doing a whole lot lately. We did have a Yard Sale, 3 weeks of prep and 3 days of good weather! Did ok on Friday, Sat. and Sun. maybe 5 people showed up all day.  A few pictures from the sale. Sold most of the glass, Depression glass and crystal, etc. Was Hubbys Grandmas. Sarah Coventry jewelry that Hubbys Mom had tons of.
 Sponge Bob!, atheletic gear.
Horse stuff, at one time we had three of everything! I am trying to down size.

Meghan was leaving tonight and Dublin jumped in her car. He wants to go!
Love how the sunset setting picks up all the colors of the rainbow! he he he he
Purple, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple....
Meg brought Oliver out, this is what we got when she was pulling out! LOL He is a Maltese/Toy Poodle mix and 7lbs, little tiny guy.
This is my Wave Petunias, that over Wintered! I filled in the top with Nasturtiums to fill in. This was my Mothers Day basket last year.
All my Nasturtiums are up! I planted a lot of them this year, in the garden too. Cant wait to see what they do!
I am planning on doing the Trail Trials in Woodland, Wa. again this year! Last year I rode Easy because Emma was lame. I plan on riding Emma this year! Probably wont place as good, LOL,(we tied for 3rd place) but we will have fun!! Need to ride a lot in the next 3 weeks and make some obstacles for us to practice! The Trial is July 13th this year. Have had some rain storms come through the last couple of nights, not enough rain to wet the garden though! Supposed to be warm this weekend again, then rain again on Monday. Have to get some rides in!!
