Some more painting projects completed!

These are 12" Memo clips.

 These sleighs are also about 12" long.

 Countdown to Christmas, it is about 8" in diameter.

 The snowmen turned out cute. I am struggling with what to put on the snowflakes that I really like.

 The newest pattern I purchased for nutcrackers. The backs are all my own design, as the original patterns have nothing on the backs.

I am starting to get quite and inventory! Its fun to be back painting again. More to come!!

Anniversary....

Today is the Four Year, anniversary of my brain tumor surgery.
I have recovered well, still have a lot of problems, but I am living with them.
I will have an MRI again soon, waiting for the call to schedule it. I have one
every 6mos to a year.

Every day I am greatfull to still be here, and enjoy this crazy life!!

The birds are trying to usher in Spring!

Like this guy, making a lot of noise , getting an asnswer from across the river though.

 Can you tell what kind of bird he is??

 A Pileated Woodpecker! On top of the power pole in our driveway.

 They are a large bird! You can barely see him when I zoom out though, that and he is on the other side of the pole.

 Every time he would drum, and stop, I would hear a call from the other side of the river. The pole must be a good spot to make sound.

I am ready for Spring too!!

Sunday stills....Through an opening

Gosh I have been awful about posting for Sunday stills! I love the challenges that it gives, I just havnt been out and about with the camera!!! I hope to change that. That said, here is a photo I thought of when I seen this challange. And it has my pony in it!!

Snow is gone, it is supposed to be almost 60F Sunday! A day to catch all the mares, wash the mud off of them and check them all out. I need a new set of clipper blades, last time I tried to trim bridle paths, they wouldnt cut. I need to trim leg hair and chins and bridle paths! Maybe they will look less like woolly mammoths! LOL

This is my new ring Hubby bought me on one of our outings lately! Three horses for my three! (and my poor wrinkly dry hands! LOL)

Snow again! March 1st

Well we had about two inches of snow Wednesday morning. Pretty, but I am so ready for Spring!!!

( Well Lytha, its still grey here too!!! LOL But there are some Fir trees!!)

 Had a little excitement here in the neighborhood this last week. A woman who lives across the street from us, drowned in the Little Washougal river. Totally weird this time of year. Ruled an accidental drowning.

 Ponies are still eating and pooping, and I am still cleaning up after them and feeding them!! LOL
They got their shots on Tuesday. Three ways for Easy and Mickey, a 5 way for Emma. The old mares probably wont leave the property, so I figured enceph/flu/tetnus was enough for them. Emma got Rhino with hers.

 It has been cold the last few days too, 39F when I get up in the AM, I am wearing extra layers(my nylon sweat pants!) to the barn, I know I am a wimp! I hate being cold! Its only been low to mid 40's during the day. Damp too.

My barn is on the other side of that well shed in the center. The girls were staying inside.
I really am getting the itch to RIDE!!! Soon I hope! Or I am going to have to haul to an arena!!!

Here are some of the videos from the Horse expo. This first one is Cowboy Dressage. Different, you cant see them very well, they were in western show saddles, dress in formal riding attire.

These next two videos are of the vaulting team. They were pretty cool to watch!!!

Horse Expo, Clark County Washington, 2

This booth kept me warm!! LOL LOL I had a Chai, and later a hot tea, it was cold and damp out in the arena. This booth is outside in the arena. Nothing better than a big hot 16oz cup of tea when you are cold.

 The gaited horse guy, I forgot his name. He was so soft spoken, and talked for a long time. The audio in this arena really sucks, its distorted and you can not hear what they say.

 The Peruvians were so pretty in the full costumes. And they looked warmer than some of the others!

 Then we sat down to watch the Extreme Cowboy Race. We were at the back of the arena, and had to stand at the rail. The seating also sucks at this venue. There were a lot of people, and the seating is at arena level, so even if you can sit down there are rude people who will stand at the rail so you cant see through them.
Come in and run a full round of the arena.

Run another full circle around the arena, ending back by the wagon wheel

If you can see him on the far side, he is doing an obstacle that is two pvc pipes with a tennis ball on top of one, and you transfer it to the other.

 This Mule did a great job with the wagon wheel.

 The multiple judges, dont know exactly how many were judges. Again you couldnt understand the announcer. Just the loud music.

 There is the walk over with the deer.

 Oh and the pool finger, walk through, some of them try to jump through it. I have done this with Emma and they dont really like it at first.

 The bridge, I really couldnt tell what they made it out of. There is a tarp and rocks, and I dont know if it was plywood or an actual bridge.

 The next thing we watched were the Vaulters. They were pretty incredible. The horses are huge! They looked like Belgians. They had an open arena time for all the kids to try Vaulting. this is a little girl riding.

 They all had to practice first. There is a practice dummy in there.

 Craig Cameron.

 Craig and Steve Rother. They talked about getting a handle on your horse, again the audio in here is aweful too. Craig has a raspy voice that doesnt come across very clear, Steves voice was clearer.

 The flag ceremony before the evening entertainment. At least they didnt charge an extra $6-8 bucks this year to watch.

 A pair of Friesians came out and did a dressage routine, they were tacked up in western saddles, Cowboy Dressage.

 They were going to fast and in the indoor light I couldnt get good photos.

 Then two Andalusions came out, and one Freisian, they did a Medieval skit.

 Steve Rother did the same pole dancing routine as last year, except I think he was better last year. He has a 14 foot long pole that he is riding with.

 The vaulters came out next.

 This was a cute skit with the mini and a Jack Russel.

Then my camera died. This was the last thing though. It died because I took a lot of videos. When I figure out how to post them I will share!!
